Mr. Kitamura currently heads the Finance Division managing funds for ODA Loans and Private Sector Investment Account. He joined JICA (formerly JBIC) in 2001, and has a background in corporate / project finance, credit risk management and project administration of ODA projects. Prior to the current position, he experienced director of macroeconomic analysis division, director of investment and credit division, and deputy chief representative of JICA Vietnam Office.

MS. SHARON P. ALMANZA is a Career Executive Service Officer I| and currently the Treasurer of the Philippines of the Bureau of the Treasury, an attached agency of the Department of Finance.

Before assuming her current role, she served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Bureau of the Treasury. Preceding this position, she held the title of Deputy Treasurer of the Philippines wherein she headed the Accounting Service, Research and Regional Operations, and Asset Management Service. She was seconded to the World Bank Group (WBG) from 2021 to 2023 as the Alternate Executive Director and Senior Advisor for the Constituency of Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Philippines, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago. She also held various positions at the Department of Finance as the Chief of the Debt and Risk Management Division (DRMD) of the International Finance Group and Officer-in-Charge of the Multilateral Assistance Division.

Ms. Jolanta Wysocka

Jolanta Wysocka is co-founder and Chief Executive of Mountain Pacific Group. MPG is a Seattle based investment firm which, after wide discussions, including with major Central Banks, developed the World Parity Unit currency basket working with FTSE-Russell. The need for a global currency basket came out of work with global institutional investors in the US, Japan, Australia and elsewhere. She is a member of The Bretton Woods Committee. Jolanta’s has managed global and emerging market portfolios for over 30 years.  Prior to MPG, she worked with global institutional investors as a strategist at Russell Investments. In that role, she supported the CEO, Michael Phillips, in his role as US ABAC presentative. She holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Zielona Gora, Poland.

Mr. Ron Liesching

Ron Liesching is a Co-founder and serves as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Mountain Pacific Group. He was a co-founder of Pareto Partners which was founded in 1991. As the chief research officer and Chief Investment Officer he was the architect of the firm’s currency strategy. Ron was a key person in building Pareto’s business which, at the time of Ron’s departure, managed $55 billion. Ron co-invented commodity swaps. He was a founding member of the DJ-UBS commodity index committee and is author of the CFA publication on commodity investing for institutions. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics (Hon) from Lancaster University.

Mr. Robert Dohner

Robert Dohner is a senior international economics professional with three decades of experience in macroeconomic, financial, and regulatory issues.  He is now a Non-resident Senior Fellow in the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council, a consultant to the Mountain Pacific Group in Seattle and a columnist for the Korea Business Herald’s Insight Collection.  He was previously the Chief Economist for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Prior to that, as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia, he led Treasury’s work on Asia from 2005 to 2016. He helped create and manage the U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED) and its successor, the S&ED, in which he negotiated Chinese commitments on exchange rate policy, macroeconomic policy, and financial services. From 1997 to 2002, he was Treasury’s representative in Tokyo, directing an office that was instrumental in shaping U.S. policy towards Japan during its financial reform, banking crisis, and prolonged recession.  He also shaped Treasury’s discussions with Japanese authorities during the implementation of Big Bang financial liberalization, on issues that included securities investor protection, the modification of firewall rules to allow global risk management, and the introduction of the FSA no-action letter process.

Before joining Treasury, Dohner worked at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, the OECD, and the Department of State.  He has a Ph.D. in economics from M.I.T. and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.

Mr. Shunichi Ashida

Shunichi Ashida joined Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. in 2014 and worked in Equity Research Department for about 7 years.

The main role was the equity strategist conducting quantitative analysis and presenting investment strategies to institutional investors focusing on Japanese equity market. He also spearhead the initiative to include an ESG lens in all Daiwa analysis reports by collaborating with Sustainalytics.

In Autumn 2022, he enrolled ESADE business school in Barcelona, Spain as a Full-time MBA student sponsored by Daiwa and then specialized in Social Impact area.

After graduating from ESADE in Spring 2024, he joined the Sustainability Solutions Department. He holds BSc and MSc in Financial Engineering at Keio University.
