Analyzes the market from an academic perspective as member of Nippon Finance Association. As of 2023, he has Nikkei Veritas Ranking (Securitization) of 8th, and also holds MBA in Finance.

Prof. Tatsuyoshi Okimoto

Mr. Okimoto is a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics, Keio University, a principal at Economics Design Inc., a research associate at Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry, He received PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 2005.

He worked for Australian National University, Hitotsubashi University, and Yokohama National University before joining Keio University in 2022. His research has focused on Financial Econometrics and Macroeconometrics. He has been awarded the 1st GPIF Finance Awards (2017), 2015 Junko Maru Prize, and 2014 Securities Analysts Journal Prize.

Since entering the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2002, Mr. Fumihiro Kajikawa has served in worked in various areas such as in SME finance, IT policy, design policy, formulation of economic growth policy, human resource development and employment policy for increasing competitiveness, internal HR development, healthcare industry development, macroeconomic research and analysis, and Environmental Economy. Mr. Kajikawa also serves on the board of Future Center Alliance Japan (FCAJ).

Mr. Kobayashi is Senior Manager, Responsible investment development team at Japan Post Insurance. In this position, he is responsible for building up sustainable investment platform including ESG integration, impact investment framework and GHG emissions reduction strategy. He has also over 10 years experience in Fixed income investment as both Credit analyst and Fund manager.

Mr. Daisaku Chabata

Mr. Daisaku Chabata joined Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. in 2006.

He started in structured finance and corporate planning before joining the investment division of Daiwa to oversee the company’s equity and debt investments in Southeast Asia region and the UK.

In 2019, he begun working at the London branch of Daiwa as the Co-Head of Principal Investment division and was responsible for making ESG debt investments.

Subsequently, he returned to Tokyo in 2021 and joined the Sustainability Solutions Department where he worked on symbolic ESG bond deals including East Japan Railway Company Sustainability Bond, Fujifilm Holdings Social Bond and NEC Sustainability-Linked Bond. He is now spearheading the structuring of inaugural Japanese government transition bond.

Mr. Chabata holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Engineering, with a major in statistics from Waseda University and has completed the Sustainable Finance online course from University of Cambridge with excellent grade.
